Bacani Architectural Design Studio is a Davao-based architectural practice founded in 2025 by Ar. Yudin Bacani.

Good design is not measured by how much is added, but by how well it responds to the people who use it. It should solve problems with clarity, respect the character of its surroundings, and remain relevant as needs evolve over time. Every project is approached with the understanding that architecture is a long-term responsibility, not just a completed building. That is why every project begins with listening.

The studio also embraces AI and modern design technologies to improve the design process. These tools help explore ideas more efficiently and communicate concepts more clearly. But technology is never the foundation of the work. It is simply a tool. Thoughtful design, professional judgment, and a genuine understanding of people remain at the heart of every project.

As a Davaoeño and a graduate of the University of Mindanao, Class of 2019, my professional perspective was shaped through my early experience under Ar. Gloryrose Dy-Metilla of Swito Architecture Designs, a practice recognized for its work in heritage conservation and community-centered architecture. That experience instilled a deep respect for context, culture, and the stories every place carries.

Those principles continue to guide the studio today. Rather than pursuing complexity for its own sake, I believe good architecture is thoughtful, purposeful, and enduring.
